The opportunity to pursue a Master's by Research or PhD degree at Monash Engineering is available to outstanding domestic candidates. The scholarships provide financial support to cover living expenses while pursuing a research degree.
Requirements
To be eligible to apply for these scholarships, applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens. Applicants should have a strong academic background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to conduct self-motivated research.
Applicants who have authored peer-reviewed research publications, graduated in the top 10% of their year level, or hold a well-ranked university degree will be looked upon favourably.
Benefits
The scholarship provides a stipend of AUD 36,063 per annum, tax-free. This allows successful applicants to focus on their research without financial burdens.

Application Process
- Investigate the many research areas within the Faculty of Engineering and identify potential supervisors.
- Submit an expression of interest to the relevant department's administrative staff.
- Obtain an invitation to apply from the potential supervisor, and upload a copy of this invitation with your formal application.
- Proceed to submit an online application via the portal once you have received the invitation.
