We are seeking a reliable and friendly catering professional to join our team at an aged care residence.
The Role:
This casual position involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Assist with food preparation, such as meal planning and cooking.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued.
- Restock supplies and clean kitchen and dining areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Work effectively during busy periods with a positive attitude, prioritizing tasks and managing your time efficiently.
Requirements:
- Experience in food preparation and/or customer service, preferably in a healthcare or aged care setting.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Pride in personal appearance and hygiene, maintaining a professional image at all times.
- Previous experience in aged care (desired but not essential), demonstrating a genuine interest in providing care and support to older adults.
