About the Role

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive people relations strategies aligned with our company goals.

  • Review and update company policies related to employee conduct, performance, and discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and ensure fair and unbiased resolution of workplace issues.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers during regular visits.

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

You will act as an escalation point for complaints and grievances. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Providing expert advice on people-related matters.
  • Issuing documentation in a timely manner.

Performance Management

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving the performance review process.
  • Managing and developing the modern performance management framework.
  • Issuing awards and recognition programs.

Award Interpretation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert interpretation and advice of awards covering team members.
  • Monitoring changes and communicating implementation to avoid exposure.

People Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with stakeholders to close gaps in conjunction with store managers.
  • Designing and rolling out wellness initiatives.
  • Maintaining registers of mental health champions and first aid providers.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • At least 8 years' experience in a Human Resources senior advisory or business partner role.
  • Experience leading a small team (optional).
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and providing advice on performance management.
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation.
