
Manager of Employee Relations

About the Role
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive people relations strategies aligned with our company goals.
- Review and update company policies related to employee conduct, performance, and discipline.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
- Conduct thorough investigations and ensure fair and unbiased resolution of workplace issues.
- Provide coaching and training to managers during regular visits.
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
You will act as an escalation point for complaints and grievances. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Providing expert advice on people-related matters.
- Issuing documentation in a timely manner.
Performance Management
Responsibilities include:
- Driving the performance review process.
- Managing and developing the modern performance management framework.
- Issuing awards and recognition programs.
Award Interpretation
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert interpretation and advice of awards covering team members.
- Monitoring changes and communicating implementation to avoid exposure.
People Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with stakeholders to close gaps in conjunction with store managers.
- Designing and rolling out wellness initiatives.
- Maintaining registers of mental health champions and first aid providers.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- At least 8 years' experience in a Human Resources senior advisory or business partner role.
- Experience leading a small team (optional).
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and providing advice on performance management.
- Thorough knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation.
