Job Opportunity: Education Support Trainee

About AGA Australia: We are a specialist primary school in Croydon, dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Job Summary: We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as an Education Support Trainee. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Education Programs: Assist teachers in implementing education programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Communication Support: Provide communication support to students using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
  • Learning and Behavioural Support: Offer learning and behavioural support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Classroom Supervision: Supervise students in class and the playground, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Classroom Preparation: Prepare classroom materials and resources to support teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Compassionate and Caring: Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards students, colleagues, and the school community.
  • Ability to Follow Instructions: Show the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for Working with Children: Possess a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Eligibility to Work in Australia: Be eligible to work in Australia and hold a valid visa (if applicable).
