Airfare Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Airfare Expert to join our team at StudentUniverse. As an Airfare Expert, you will be responsible for coordinating airfares for pre-packaged and pre-purchased cruise bookings, recommending and promoting airfare upgrades to premium economy, Business, and First Class, and ensuring accurate inclusion of frequent flyer details, baggage preferences, meal requests, and seating allocations at the time of booking.

Key Responsibilities

• Address incoming phone calls from existing customers regarding the airfare aspect of their booking.
• Coordinate airfares for pre-packaged and pre-purchased cruise bookings.
• Recommend and promote airfare upgrades to premium economy, Business, and First Class.
• Ensure accurate inclusion of frequent flyer details, baggage preferences, meal requests, and seating allocations at the time of booking.
• Proficiently search and book complex itineraries, including stopovers and surface sectors.
• Understand clients' preferences and needs, and propose optimal itineraries within package allowances.
• Provide timely and accurate information to facilitate a seamless post-booking experience.
• Execute administrative tasks associated with the position accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience with GDS (Global distribution system) - Amadeus proficiency is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the travel industry products and cruise destinations (an advantage).
• Customer-focused with the ability to interpret customer requirements.
• Positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
