Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration, in accordance with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
- Effectively manage patient interactions, ensuring timely and effective communication with doctors, medical oncology staff, patient services, and radiation therapists.
- Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with the team to provide up-to-date patient feedback and ensure all patient interactions are documented, communicated, and actioned.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience, with oncology experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work across both Wesley and Chermside sites.
