Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between $55,200 and $66,200 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus a weekly allowance of $18.28, and 11% superannuation.

Job Description

This Construction Laborer role is responsible for delivering construction projects, primarily in the roads and drainage field, acting as a member in a team of in-house construction staff. The ideal candidate will provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

The key activities of this role include:

  • Carry out construction laboring duties associated with the completion of roads, drainage, and concreting works.
  • Complete all tasks in adherence to WHS, EMS, and Risk Management Policies, initiatives on the worksite, and practices for the Unit.
  • Operate small plant and equipment, including rollers, other compaction equipment, electrical tools, levelling lasers, chainsaws, concrete saws, etc.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential criteria:

  • A General Induction Card (White) for Construction Works or equivalent.
  • A Class C Drivers Licence.
  • A Traffic Controller Licence or willingness to obtain.
  • A Safe Work near Overhead Power Lines; or willingness to obtain.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $55.200 to $66.200 per annum dependent on skills and experience + weekly allowance of $18.28 + 11% superannuation.

Please note that successful candidates may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
