About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Aluglaze, a leading provider of aluminium doors and windows in Western Australia. As a full-time role, this position is integral to our supply and installation projects, responsible for accurately estimating costs and materials to ensure the successful quoting and acquisition of projects in the commercial construction sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction clients and building owners, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  2. Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to quantify required materials and labour using V6 and Logikal software
  3. Collaborate with our project managers, supply chain and other stakeholders to obtain accurate pricing information
  4. Maintain and continuously improve estimating processes and tools
  5. Provide support and guidance to project teams throughout the manufacture and installation process including preparation of fabrication data from software
  6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction supply chain, preferably in the aluminium window trade
  2. Excellent technical skills and knowledge of window systems and the use of industry software V6 and Logikal
  3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, and cost estimation techniques
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex project requirements
  5. Proficient in the use of document control and spreadsheet applications
  6. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  7. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
