Maintenance Planner Position

About the Role
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for ensuring that all incidents and accidents are reported and followed up correctly to minimize and manage risk. This includes attending investigations where required and ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the five-year Asset Strategy and the rolling site maintenance plan as planning inputs are conducted.
- Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance and for shut down maintenance work. Issue a weekly rolling plan to the scheduler.
- Ensure that all work packs (labour, parts, tasks, costs, etc.) are uploaded and maintained in CMMS for system integrity.
- Order parts/services, obtain quotes, create specifications as required to ensure quality assurance and allow for future warranty considerations.
- Update stock levels when necessary; create CIA's as required, to avoid stock-outs and ensure supply of parts and rotables as required.
- Manage the backlog and enter work orders into the rolling 12-week plan.
- Responsible for rigorous cost management including optimized maintenance planning, adherence to Supply policy, and follow-up on warranty claims to ensure all financial information is captured.
About You
- Minimum C Class Manual Drives Licence
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate (as relevant) or Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years in the mining or heavy industry with sound working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
