About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager - Campus Operations to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our campuses, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the facilities management team, ensuring the effective delivery of services and maintenance programs across multiple campuses.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure optimal facility use and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders, contractors, and external stakeholders to coordinate capital works projects, routine capital works, and other operational activities.
  • Manage safety protocols, conduct regular audits, and report hazards or incidents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies.
  • Model and promote Caulfield Grammar School's values and behaviors, serving as a role model for staff and students alike.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in facilities maintenance, budgeting, and project management.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including staff, students, parents, and external partners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Qualifications in a trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical) or business-related field would be highly regarded.
  • Current working with children check and driver's license are essential.
