We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Director to join our team in Port Melbourne. As the leader of our store, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining high store standards.

A key aspect of this role is managing store budgets, including labor costs, inventory levels, and profit margins. You will work closely with our regional stores operations manager to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets.

The ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience and a strong track record of leading high-performing teams. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role offers a competitive salary package, estimated at $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus benefits such as 50% off retail price of Haymes Paint manufactured products, 6% Medibank Corporate discount, and ongoing training and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement measures to achieve budgeted store sales and profit contribution
  • Manage store budget, including labor costs, inventory levels, and profit margins
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers for sales growth and service
  • Maintain high store standards, including stock replenishment, visual displays, campaigns/promotions, and merchandising
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team

Requirements:

  • Previous retail management experience with a strong desire to succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a trusting team
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships via strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and organisational skills to delegate tasks and roles effectively
