About the Role

The Support Worker will play a vital role in our Community Supports Services, providing support to clients with disabilities and focusing on skill development and enrichment through engaging activities.

This role may involve providing in-home support for clients, which could require working afternoon and night shifts.

About You
  • You will be confident in engaging with clients effectively, building positive relationships, and supporting their unique needs.
  • You will be resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • You will be skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
  • You will be flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • You will hold a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • You will be able to pass a National Criminal History Check.
  • You will have full COVID vaccination status.
  • You will have experience working with high-needs Disability clients.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes is desirable.
  • Handy craft skills, such as sewing, knitting, or crocheting, are desirable.
