Maintenance Fitter

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Reliability team at our Bentley site in Western Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all factory maintenance and service functions are carried out in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for providing Engineering support to the site
  • Coaching other team members on using and maintaining equipment
  • MEX – entering all completed tasks and booking our spare parts in our maintenance system
  • Ensuring all work meets Engineering standards
  • Support all BEX (Manufacturing Development program) related activities and initiatives, e.g. Focus Improvement Project, 5S, Teamwork
  • All work to be completed in line with food safety requirements
  • Support New Product Development activities
  • Responsible for engineering support to standards and expectations


About You

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical and/or Electrical trade
  • Commitment to making safety a priority and leading a safety-first culture within the reliability teams and across the site
  • Actively participate in the Bega people processes
  • Contribute to a culture that is constructive, professional, supportive of one another and with a customer service focus
  • Broad understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG industry
  • Intermediate knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation
