Job Description

As a seasoned software development professional, you'll be instrumental in cultivating a culture of cost awareness within our organization. Your expertise will be invaluable as you design and develop impactful features, drive product innovation, and architect for efficiency to maximize cloud value.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our cloud infrastructure, leveraging your knowledge of cloud engineering principles, AWS services, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

We're seeking an individual who takes ownership of their goals, delivers outcomes independently or collaboratively, and provides mentorship and support within teams.

Our team is committed to simplifying cloud adoption and minimizing risk, working closely with other teams to improve our cloud footprint.

  • Designing and developing functionalities that bring cloud cost insights closer to our teams.
  • Leading discussions from idea to implementation, scoping solutions, and supporting product teams and leaders with real-time cost-related insights.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to improve cloud architecture with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Enhancing our internal data platform for performance, uptime, and scalability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building impactful features that bring cloud cost insights closer to our teams.
  • Driving product development by leading discussions from idea to implementation.
  • Architecting for efficiency by collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Scaling our FinOps platform by enhancing our internal data platform.

Requirements include:

  • A strong foundation in computer science principles.
  • Experience with AWS services like EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, or similar.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Coding skills in Golang or Python, with the ability to upskill in the other language.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure management.
  • Fluency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
