Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at RSM. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
  • Assist graduates with work and act as a mentor/buddy;
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
  • Prepare documents for client meetings with Partner;
  • Help identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
  • Prepare and analyze management accounting reports;
  • Conduct tax compliance reviews of tax returns and FBT returns.

Education Requirements:

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting;

Desirable

  • Completion of Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification;

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

Essential

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
