Teaching Opportunity in Secondary English/HASS

We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our team and teach secondary English/HASS while applying a Christian worldview. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the development of 21st Century skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching secondary years, including graduates, with a high degree of teaching competence. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff, and build and maintain quality working relationships and student rapport.

Responsibilities will include teaching secondary English/HASS, planning and preparing classes, and embracing opportunities to present professional practice and further develop skills and knowledge across the College.

The successful candidate will be a committed Christian, active in their church, and willing to subscribe to the College's Statement of Faith. They will also hold Queensland College of Teachers registration and be entitled to work in Australia.

Key Requirements
  • Experience teaching secondary years (including teaching pracs) with a high degree of teaching competence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially
  • Able to build and maintain quality working relationships and student rapport
  • Highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes
  • Committed Christian, active in your church and able to subscribe to the College's Statement of Faith
