Primary Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and successful learning environments for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the physical, social, and intellectual development of students.
- Understand and apply the fundamental concepts, structure, and enquiry processes relevant to programs you develop and teach.
- Create and maintain safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments, and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
- Evaluate your teaching practice to ensure you are meeting the learning needs of your students, and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and challenge students to improve their performance.
- Operate effectively at all stages of the teaching and learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning, and reporting to parents/carers.
- Value opportunities to engage with your school community within and beyond the classroom to enrich the educational context for students, and work to promote the links between school, home, and community in the social and intellectual development of your students.
- Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.
- Tertiary Qualification in Education.
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) - conditionally accredited teachers and new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience on student wellbeing-focused programs and/or initiatives.
