About Gryphon Capital Investments Pty Ltd

Gryphon Capital Investments Pty Ltd, a Barings Company, is a specialist fixed income manager operating in the Australian RMBS and ABS fixed income markets. The company has experienced continued growth in funds under management, creating a unique opportunity for an operations role within the Gryphon team.

The operations team plays a crucial role in supporting the Gryphon team, providing key stakeholders with reporting, and ensuring the effectiveness of operational processes such as bond trade and settlement. Based in modern offices in Brisbane's James Street, this opportunity offers a challenging and diverse role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fund administration support for ASX Listed Investment Trusts and Unlisted Investment Trusts involves calculating net asset values, verifying fund distributions, liaising with service providers, and processing payments.
  • The analyst will be responsible for monthly client reporting, including verification and distribution.
  • Processing and booking trade instructions, coordinating settlements with counterparties and custodians, and reconciling daily portfolio and cash positions are essential tasks.
  • Maintaining the Gryphon website and completing ad-hoc analysis for portfolio managers are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in fund administration, finance, accounting, or analytical roles is required.
  • A basic understanding of finance concepts is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is necessary.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, responsibility, and strong communication skills are essential.
  • A positive and collaborative approach is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
