About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist to join our team. This part-time remote role will involve providing assessments and treatment for patients with a range of presenting issues. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for providing professional medical advice via video telehealth using Access Specialist software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with professional medical advice via video telehealth using Access Specialist software as per appropriate specialty
  • Provide medical care through various therapies pertaining to the clinician's specialty
  • Post consultation provide referring general practitioner with all relevant consult documentation including summary letter
  • Ensure consistent and appropriate communication to the operations team of ongoing availability to undertake telehealth consults
  • Request patient test results from health professionals as required to enable thorough consultations
  • Stay informed on industry updates and changes; use this knowledge where appropriate during consultations

Requirements

  • Experience within community-based settings and the NDIS preferred but not essential
  • Ability to utilize video telehealth technology to perform thorough medical assessments
  • Efficient communication skills to communicate with operational support team and patients
  • Experience in using a scheduling platform to ensure availability to provide telehealth services is kept updated

Qualifications

  • Relevant Psychiatry medical qualifications or equivalent
  • Full registration with AHPRA as a psychiatrist
  • Hold a fellowship from RANZCP
