About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Archaeologist to join our National Heritage Team in Queensland. As a Senior Archaeologist, you will play a key role in the preparation of cultural heritage assessments and management plans, Aboriginal stakeholder engagement and consultation, exciting field surveys, research, report writing, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cultural heritage assessments and management plans for various projects
  • Engage with Aboriginal stakeholders and communities to ensure effective consultation and collaboration
  • Participate in field surveys, research, and report writing to support project deliverables
  • Manage projects and teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in archaeology and Aboriginal heritage management
  • University degree in archaeology or a related field with Honours
  • Proven experience in cultural heritage assessments, management plans, and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
