This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to lead our workshop team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair schedules, ensuring adherence to WHS regulations, and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
- A key aspect of this role is mentoring apprentices to develop their trade skills and contributing to their growth within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of this role include:
- Performing repairs on buses and other vehicles, as required.
- Leading by example and representing the organization in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
- Maintaining all tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with established standards.
- Liaising with the Regional Assets Support Manager regarding buses off the road.
- Assisting the Regional Assets Support Manager as needed, including undertaking higher duty supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) and have a minimum of 3-5 years working as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role with the same level of responsibilities, ideally within a team-oriented environment.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.
- Show a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement and a commitment to adhering to WHS regulations.
