Senior Mathematician

The role involves collaborating with the Head of Mathematics to develop and implement high-quality teaching practices, curriculum innovation, and student achievement in SACE Mathematics. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

• Coordinate the teaching of SACE Mathematics in the Senior School
• Work closely with the Head of Middle School Mathematics to ensure smooth student transitions and support accelerated pathways
• Lead and contribute to departmental meetings, in-house professional learning, and collaborative curriculum development
• Oversee the design, proofing, and standardisation of assessments to ensure high-quality, consistent feedback for students

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
• Current registration (or eligibility) as a teacher in South Australia
• Demonstrated experience teaching SACE Mathematics at Stage 1 and Stage 2, with evidence of student achievement
• A strong understanding of SACE curriculum, assessment standards, and moderation requirements
