Wage Compliance Specialist

This is a pivotal role in helping clients identify and remediate breaches against an employer's Enterprise Agreement, Modern Award, National Employment Standards or jurisdictional based long service leave legislation.

As a Wage Compliance Specialist specialising in wage compliance, you will play a crucial part in uncovering discrepancies, supporting ethical business practices and upholding the rights of workers across Australia.

  • Lead the technical design and development of analysis models (SQL or Excel) to identify and quantify wage compliance risks.
  • Work with subject matter specialists to understand the business requirements for modelling, including resolution of ambiguous requirements and identification of relevant data sources.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify root causes of wage compliance issues and establish plans for remediation.
  • Conduct testing and provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.
  • Document results and prepare working papers and reports to support analysis.
  • Support proposal development and other business development activities.
  • Assist in developing internal data analytics assets and tools.

Requirements:

  • Experience in analysis of large and complex payroll and time & attendance data to identify or quantify wage compliance issues.
  • At least 4 years of experience in development of SQL, Alteryx or Excel data models.
  • Proven track record of leading small teams of data analysts, including task assignment and quality review.
  • Skilled in translating complex business and legal requirements into technical specifications for analysis and preparation of written reports / methodologies for presentation to regulators and legal representatives.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Background in professional services is preferred.

Qualifications:

Desired tertiary qualifications in a combination of business disciplines (e.g., finance, accounting, law) and technical disciplines (e.g., engineering, IT, computing).
