Job Description:
  • Prepare and process a range of high-quality meats, including whole carcasses, deboned meat, and smallgoods.
  • Craft artisanal cuts, using traditional techniques and premium ingredients, to produce specialty products such as sausages, cured meats, and smoked goods.
  • Operate and maintain butchery equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety, and manage smoking chambers, curing vats, and cooking kettles to produce high-quality products.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on meat selection, cooking techniques, and optimal cuts for different culinary uses.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1+ years' experience in a butcher or meat processing environment.
  • Relevant Certificate III Qualification related to the field advertised.
  • Strong knowledge of meat safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP compliance.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a passion for educating clients on quality meats.
