
Director of Learning Experiences

The Director of Learning Experiences plays a pivotal part in shaping participant experiences within Activator, ensuring that the offering is distinctive in the marketplace and aligned with goals of creating entrepreneurial experiences and a mindset within the community.
This role involves developing and architecting practical entrepreneurship learning agendas to deliver impactful experiences. Specifically, it includes program and product design, content development and sourcing, delivery of learning activities, and key differentiators to build a unique entrepreneurial mindset within the community.
Key responsibilities include working alongside the Director to implement the strategic plan, demonstrating strong personal accountability for results, commitment to teamwork, adherence to ethical business practices, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a start-up environment.
This role requires collaboration with external and internal university accountabilities, including enhanced collaboration with Activator's initiatives, and development of leading-edge experiential education experiences focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Demonstrated work history in industry/not-for-profit/government sectors related to innovation, enterprise, and entrepreneurship development, or relevant areas.
- Experience in delivering content related to enterprise, design theory, creativity, innovation, new business model development, commercialisation, and technological disruption within a higher education institution.
- Significant knowledge of current and emerging issues within the field of innovation, enterprise, and entrepreneurship education.
- Success in using contemporary education principles, innovative teaching approaches, and experiential pedagogy, including development of educational programs leveraging face-to-face, blended, and online technologies.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong networking skills and ability to work with external partners to facilitate teaching and promote RMIT's Innovation and Entrepreneurial education initiatives.
- Evidence of leadership skills, including initiating, leading, and managing change in a dynamic environment requiring analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience, or a record of success, leadership, and administration in an entrepreneurial environment.
