Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our quality engineering team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our embedded sensors and software features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests within our continuous integration and delivery process.
  • Implement automated test cases to benchmark existing sensor performance and evaluate future product changes against these benchmarks.
  • Conduct manual pre-release field testing and validation of embedded products to ensure features meet design intent and requirements.
  • Identify and resolve testing dependencies, traceability, risks, and gaps in test coverage across various products.
  • Meticulously document discovered issues with the product in bug tickets and communicate with external stakeholders.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during quarterly release cycles to ensure software release performance and stability.
  • Work with development teams to ensure successful integration of new technologies, sensor modes, or system functions via end-to-end testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field of study.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Development in Test, Verification and Validation, and/or Test & Evaluation.
  • Comfortable working with Python and embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of pytest and Selenium or equivalent desirable.
  • Experience with Linux and Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD development approach using automation.
