Underground Mine Geologist Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Mine Geologist to join our team at Duketon operations.

This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster (ex-Perth). As part of our high-performing team, you will provide geological technical advice, planning and methodology of all aspects of our underground mining operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising underground drilling programs, logging and validation.
  • Utilizing site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure quality and integrity of data.
  • Collecting and analyzing underground grade control data (face mapping, face sampling) in preparation for block modeling.
  • Facilitating optimal production of gold ore from underground mining operations in a timely manner.
  • Accurately reporting daily ore production data.
  • Participating in project work as defined by the Senior Underground Geologist.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A formal tertiary qualification in Geology.
  • A willingness to work in a hard rock underground environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
