Emergency Care Administration Specialist

Job Overview

This position requires an experienced administrator to join the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be available 24/7, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients
  • Processing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges and preparing clinical forms
  • Assisting clinical staff with administrative tasks
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion while adhering to administration and financial policies and procedures
  • Drafting routine correspondence on behalf of senior management
  • Providing administrative support to other senior staff as needed
  • Exercising judgment to solve problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are undefined

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed written communication skills, ability to work independently, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
