About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Mawson Lakes, South Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the software build and release management process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and secure deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standards and practices for Branch Management, Product Versioning, Source Control Management, and Release Management.
  • Develop and implement release strategies that align with best practices.
  • Create software builds and associated documentation.
  • Leverage CI/CD tools to automate creation, testing, and deployment of software releases.
  • Utilise tools such as JIRA and GitLab to manage software files and track software changes through the Software Release process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for environment configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor and Maintain the health of supporting DevOps infrastructure like container orchestration, build agents, monitoring tools, and dashboards, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have sound experience with and knowledge of build and release management in a complex engineering environment. You will also:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Version Control and Repository Management tools such as GitLab and Nexus and experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively within a team and across teams.
  • Have a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and promote best practices.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced Agile Software Development working environment.
