About the Role

The Cyber Security Operations Senior Analyst is a key position in our IT Department, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As part of our growing Cyber Security team, you will deliver hands-on technical services and provide expert guidance on various security matters.

This role requires close collaboration with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider to enhance operational efficiencies, configure / optimize the Security Information Event Management (SIEM), respond to incidents, and handle requests as necessary. You will be responsible for assisting in developing and refining cyber incident response strategies, playbooks, and threat-hunting activities.

As a critical member of our Cyber Security and Risk team, you will contribute to the effective delivery of operational services, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to strengthen our organization's overall security posture.

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will need to have experience in the following areas:

  • Experience working in a Cyber Operations team or significant drive to quickly learn and adopt cybersecurity operations processes.
  • Experience with security tools such as enterprise vulnerability detection, email security, or endpoint security.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and curiosity in problem-solving while using a methodological approach to understanding root cause.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills together with proven negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience across relevant technologies such as:
  1. Endpoint security (AV, EDR etc)
  2. Email Security
  3. Firewall/Web Application Firewall
  4. MICROSOFT AZURE
  5. SIEM tools
  6. Experience with Linux
  7. Windows servers, Active Directory
  8. Networking (routing, DNS, DHCP)
  9. Scripting PowerShell
Qualifications
  • Relevant cyber security certifications and/or qualifications (or demonstration of progression towards) e.g. CISSP, OSCP, GCIH, GIAC. Alternatively, participation in cyber security challenges to improve skills and knowledge.
