About Education Support Traineeships:
Experience and training are essential for delivering exceptional educational support services to students, teachers, and staff.

About the role:
This challenging position is ideal for dedicated individuals passionate about assisting secondary school students requiring top-notch care and support. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm in a classroom setting with vulnerable students.

The organisation provides comprehensive support and mentoring to trainees, including on-the-job training for 12 months. Key benefits include:

About you:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in Deer Park during school holidays

Key responsibilities include:

  • Offer regular assistance to teaching/school staff members
  • Help with the organisation of students' daily schedules
  • Interact with students to facilitate understanding of simple tasks and details
  • Respond to immediate behavioural issues of certain students in a classroom, following school guidelines
  • Deliver fundamental oversight and guidance to individual students or small groups (maximum of four) in a classroom environment
