Hedland Senior High School is an Independent Public-School catering to students from Year 7 to Year 12. Our school values a system of positive behaviour supports focusing on care, courtesy, respect and responsibility.

Teaching Opportunities
This permanent full-time position offers the chance to join our English team and create outstanding outcomes for students. We are a collaborative and supportive team in a unique regional setting.
The successful applicant will aim to deliver excellent English teaching and be willing to adapt to a variety of courses, including quality literacy instruction. Collaborative practice is key to our team's success.

Benefits and Incentives
- A competitive salary with a Country Teaching Program Allowance of $10,210 per year and District allowance of $9,299 per year.
- A Temporary Attraction and Retention Initiative payment of $4,677.

- 11.5 percent employer contributions to superannuation.
- Weeks' vacation leave (school holidays).
- More than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers' leave.

Taught at Hedland SHS in 2025, teachers can receive an additional payment of $4,677. This temporary ARI payment is made in addition to other incentives offered by the school.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must hold an eligible teaching qualification.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before commencing employment.
- Obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
