Senior Compliance Officer

The role of Senior Compliance Officer is crucial in ensuring the organization remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

This individual will play a strategic leadership role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs that align with international background screening regulations and data privacy laws.


Key Responsibilities:Compliance Program Development: Design and implement compliance procedures aligned with international standards.Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes; assess business impact and adjust strategies accordingly.Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as subject matter expert for internal teams and customers on compliance and regulatory matters.Operational Excellence: Develop and implement training programs; identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing compliance team; establish team goals and KPIs; monitor performance and provide coaching and mentorship.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Resolve compliance issues including escalations and customer complaints; support customer-facing teams with compliance communication, education, and enablement.
Requirements:10+ years' experience in background screening industry desired.Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent background screening industry experience preferred.In-depth knowledge of Global Compliance background screening related laws and data privacy required.Demonstrated ability to build and scale compliance programs and teams globally.Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Strategic thinker with ability to assess and manage risk in fast-paced environment.Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task daily to meet demands.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex topics clearly.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and highly organized.Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks without supervision.Ability to work well with people from different disciplines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools.
