About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Retail Sector Security Officer to provide excellent customer service and emergency response to one of our Retail locations in the Western Suburbs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of security and customer service duties, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of customers and staff.
  • Guard, patrol, monitor, and control assigned premises, maintaining a secure environment at all times.
  • Respond to emergencies, alarm events, calls for assistance, and provide necessary support, demonstrating expertise in crisis management.
  • Assess and respond to situations of risk, utilizing problem-solving skills to mitigate potential threats.
  • Manage access control, enforcing policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Write incident reports and maintain data logs, showcasing attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Work Arrangements

This is a fixed roster position with 34.5 hours per week, including:

  • Mondays: 13:30 to 22:00
  • Tuesdays: 13:30 to 22:00
  • Wednesdays: 13:30 to 22:00
  • Sundays: 10:00 to 19:00

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A current Security License.
  • A Control Room License (highly regarded).
  • A current First Aid certificate.
  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
