Fire Systems Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Systems Maintenance Technician to join our team in Alice Springs.
- This is a hands-on role that involves the technical repair and maintenance of fire alarm equipment, including planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, and resource management for daily maintenance tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of facilities infrastructure and systems, as well as experience in facility maintenance or a similar technical environment. They should also be proficient in electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology, with knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire systems and infrastructure per standards
- Perform repairs and install fire systems and infrastructure
- Program Notifier systems
- Coordinate life safety system impairments with operational personnel
- Maintain current knowledge of facilities infrastructure and systems
- Inspect fire extinguishers
- Train site incident response personnel on life safety systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems
- Understanding of WSH Act and EHS policies
- Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment
- Knowledge of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology
- Understanding of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
