About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our dynamic team at WSP. As a key member of our Brisbane office, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing sustainable solutions for contaminated site remediation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Remediation Solutions: Develop and implement effective remediation strategies for various sectors, including oil and gas, transport, manufacturing, and industrial sites.
  • Conduct Environmental Site Assessments: Conduct thorough environmental site assessments, analyzing data from soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air, sediment, and surface water.
  • Support Remediation Projects: Ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality fieldwork for remediation projects.
  • Prepare Technical Reports: Prepare detailed technical reports, including Validation ESAs and RAPs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Technical Specialists: Work with technical specialists and auditors to develop effective remediation measures.
  • Mentor Junior Staff: Mentor junior staff, assisting with project scoping, design, installation, and evaluation of remediation solutions.
  • Build Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with clients and help manage projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to Team Growth: Contribute to the growth of the local team and promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
About You
  • You have a strong background in contaminated site remediation and a solid understanding of soil and groundwater contaminants.
  • You possess skills in contaminated land sampling, investigation methodologies, and remediation technologies.
  • You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering, science, geology, or related fields.
  • You have a current Australian Driver's Licence and are knowledgeable about local regulations on contaminated sites.
  • You are keen to develop your skills and contribute to the growth of the team.
