Education Specialist

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled Education Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualised case brokerage and face-to-face outreach support services to disengaged or at-risk students in the Pilbara Education Region.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional who has demonstrated considerable knowledge and experience of youth, education, and training services, particularly in relation to at-risk compulsory school-aged students. As an Education Specialist, you will develop high-quality individual pathway plans, including career and transition considerations for young people to make informed choices and effective transitions to appropriate pathways and post-school options.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised case brokerage and face-to-face outreach support services to disengaged or at-risk students* Develop high-quality individual pathway plans, including career and transition considerations* Broker transitions to and placements with post-school providers* Leverage networks of youth, employment, education, and training organisations to optimise engagement
Requirements
* Considerable knowledge and experience of youth, education, and training services* Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, in diverse settings, and with target groups* Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to use initiative to meet competing priorities
