Financial Regulatory/Anti-Fraud Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Regulatory/Anti-Fraud Lawyer to join our team at AFL Recruitment. As a key member of our Financial Services/Regulatory team, you will thrive on representing BLUE-CHIP clients in complex issues relating to AML/CTF Act, the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, the Banking Act, the Banking Code of Practice, the ePayments Code and the ASIC Act.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising and resolving disputes relating to complex issues in financial regulation;
  • Providing subject matter expertise to the litigation and corporate/M&A teams in relation to contentious regulatory/enforcement matters and financial services transactions.

Requirements:
  • An admitted lawyer with minimum 5-10+ YEARS post-admission experience specifically in anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism finance/financial regulation;
  • Solid knowledge and practical understanding of the Australian AML/CTF regime and any other area/s of financial regulation;
  • Stand-out analytical, communication, people/relationship and time management skills;
  • A keen interest in carving out and growing a long-term career as a specialist lawyer in this highly promising and fast-growing financial regulatory/anti-fraud niche.
