Director of Commercial Strategy

This is a highly coveted position for a commercial strategist to drive the future direction of a pioneering financial services business with substantial investments in cutting-edge technology AI and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities- Define and drive group strategy translating the organisation's ambition into focused priorities and clear action across all divisions.
- Bridge ambition and execution ensuring strategic plans are underpinned by operational capacity capital discipline and sound risk frameworks.
- Unify the leadership team around a common direction facilitating effective cross-functional collaboration between Distribution Origination Risk Finance Technology and Product.
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation embedding agile ways of working iterative planning cycles and a culture of rapid learning and course correction.
- Shape the company's external view leading horizon scanning and competitor intelligence efforts to anticipate market shifts and unlock commercial opportunities.
- Embed innovation and insight at the core institutionalising the use of advanced analytics AI and customer intelligence across the planning lifecycle.
- Support growth through disciplined strategy contributing to inorganic opportunity assessment in partnership with the Corporate Development team.
- Hold the organisation accountable to outcomes building a performance-led culture where strategic execution is measured transparent and consistently delivered.
You're a strategic commercially astute and deeply collaborative professional likely with 8-15 years experience in financial services or fintech and may have worked in a strategy consultancy high-growth SME or founder-led venture.
You lead without ego influence without needing hierarchy and get energy from helping businesses evolve and scale someone who can engage the board challenge the status quo and support others to deliver meaningful outcomes.
