Job Title: Mental Health Information Systems Specialist
">This role requires a high level of expertise in information systems operational support design, business processes and system documentation. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and recommendations regarding the maintenance, review and enhancement of mental health and alcohol and other drugs information systems.
">The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT knowledge and be able to utilise it to receive, handle and investigate complex technical support incidents following agreed procedures.
">Responsibilities include developing and implementing procedures to identify and rectify discrepancies in information to ensure a high quality of mental health, alcohol, and other drugs data sets, providing input to the knowledge base through creation of documentation or updating records of known errors and associated fixes, and contributing to the development, implementation, maintenance and review of system policies, procedures, business processes and practices necessary for the efficient and effective administration of the mental health and alcohol and other drug information systems.
">Required skills and qualifications include the ability to identify and analyse problems associated with information systems and develop and implement remedial strategies, high level of interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise and influence, high level of organisation skills and experience in information systems development and operation, and knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the functions and organisation of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch as they relate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture; consumers and carers; mental health care and alcohol and other drugs treatment service.
