About the Role

The General Medicine Staff Specialist is a key position within the General Medicine Department of North Canberra Hospital. As a specialist in general medicine, you will be responsible for providing clinical care and leadership to patients and staff. Your expertise will be guided by current evidence-based medical practice to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients in the General Medicine Department
  • Lead and manage a team of medical professionals to deliver high-quality care
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices and policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Eligibility for Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • Proven experience in general medicine and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
