Financial Controller Role
">This is a senior role that involves working closely with the Animal Health business unit to provide financial governance and planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and financial analysis and business controlling.
">Key Responsibilities
">- ">
- Coordinate processes with various departments, including Financial Accounting, Human Resources, and Head of Commercial.">
- Conduct monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.">
- Ensure accurate recording of financial data in local and corporate systems.">
- Liaise with Central Finance and Global Business Services to ensure assets are correctly booked.">
- Prepare income statements and provide input to review presentations.">
- Analyze income statement development and prepare analysis of cost development for Animal Health Controlling.">
- Liaise with regional and head office controllers to provide information and commentaries as required.">
Accounting and Reporting
">- ">
- Own the month-end processes, including accruals and provisions, ensuring checks and balances are in place prior to finalization.">
- Review allocations on a regular basis and adjust as required.">
- Prepare BU data and liaise with Central Finance and GBS to process entries.">
- Review monthly results and advise of any adjustments required.">
- Calculate monthly rebates for customers and set up quarterly accruals in the system, ensuring payments are coded accurately.">
- Analyze deviations where relevant to the business unit.">
Reporting and Analysis
">- ">
- Anticipate and innovate reporting solutions that meet business needs, deliver efficiencies, and/or value-added insight that impacts business operations.">
- Provide supplementary reporting and collaborate with the business unit to develop reporting dashboards.">
- Provide monthly analysis and comments to the business.">
Business Support and Analysis
">- ">
- Lead initiatives that enhance business financial literacy and proficiency with relevant processes and tools.">
- Provide financial analysis and advice.">
- Work closely with business counterparts to bring visibility and analysis of customer group-level Trade Spend and evolving issues where relevant.">
- Conduct pricing analysis for new products where relevant to the business unit.">
Requirements
">- ">
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business administration or equivalent.">
- Qualified CPA/CA.">
- Extensive background working as a commercial/financial analyst/business controller.">
- High-level executive thinking and problem-solving capability.">
- Attention to detail and accuracy.">
- Exceptional communication skills and motivation to interact regularly with the business to build understanding and relationships.">
