About the Role:

The Foreman will be responsible for mentoring and monitoring the workshop team to ensure apprentices have the opportunities and support to develop their skills, and technicians have everything they need to work effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices.
  • Inspect and repair all special tools, and recommend new tooling as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule all in-house technician training.
  • Assist the Service Manager or Service Location Manager with coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings.
  • May fill the Service Manager or Service Location Manager role in their absence.

  • 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician.
  • Previous agricultural experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lead others.
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift license preferred.
