This is a dynamic and rewarding nursing role that provides high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide empathetic and person-centered care to consumers in various settings, including community-based programs and acute care facilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery and wellness through effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a psychiatric nursing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consumers, families, and other healthcare professionals.
The Transition to Mental Health Nursing Program offers comprehensive support and guidance to Registered Nurses transitioning to a mental health nursing career.
Program Highlights:- Two six-month rotations across multiple services within the Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Service (MHDAS) in the Geelong and Barwon South West region.
- Individual and group supervision, as well as support from preceptors, clinical staff, managers, and educators.
