Procurement Specialist Job Opportunity

This role presents a compelling chance to contribute to a top-tier mining organization as a Procurement Specialist.

The successful candidate will be accountable for spearheading and executing key procurement initiatives, collaborating closely with the Head of Procurement. The position requires a highly skilled and motivated procurement professional to deliver on critical frameworks.

  • Provide product/ordering/spend data analysis and reporting requirements through Power BI, Pronto Thin Client (ERP System), and Microsoft Excel to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and assess opportunities for enhanced relationships with existing suppliers and service providers.
  • Act as a senior member of the procurement function with the confidence to engage across the business.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in leading procurement processes through effective management and/or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value for money.
  • A consultative approach to managing and driving tangible change.
  • Proven experience in a mining environment preferably with a contractor background.
  • Strong exposure to ERP (Pronto) EDI (Electronic Data Interface), and PowerBI.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various tasks.
  • Effective communication skills with a range of suppliers and stakeholders.
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in an environment with multiple stakeholders internal and external.
