About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Urban Planner to join our expanding team. The successful applicant will be involved in a variety of development projects, providing planning direction and guidance to achieve quality design and approval outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing planning expertise for built form, subdivision, and public open space projects across various sectors, including residential, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, recreational, and public facilities.
• Identifying design constraints, applicable standards, and development conditions or codes for urban and rural development projects; obtaining approvals, including Development Approvals.
• Preparing Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements, Planning Proposals, and Review of Environmental Factors.
• Establishing strong working relationships with clients, government agencies, and other consultants.
• Interpreting legislative and policy requirements.
• Managing sub-consultants and projects.

Requirements

We are looking for an applicant with relevant experience in urban planning, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritize workloads. Complimentary skills include:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail in producing accurate, quality reports that add value to the development process.
