Chief Cloud Security Strategist

A forward-thinking organization is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to lead cloud security strategy and compliance efforts.

• Develop and implement comprehensive security control requirements for public cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management teams to design and implement cloud container vulnerability scanning processes, promoting secure DevOps practices.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to develop protocols for container image hygiene and remediation, driving continuous improvement in cloud security posture.
• Drive development and implementation of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) strategies, integrating security into the fabric of cloud architecture.
• Map CSPM policies to regulatory compliance frameworks, ensuring seamless adherence to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) objectives.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation and reporting processes related to cloud security, facilitating transparency and accountability.

• Proven experience developing and implementing security control requirements in public cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to financial services.
• Hands-on experience with CSPM tools and custom policy development, as well as a deep understanding of cloud-native security principles and architectures.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to drive cross-functional teams towards shared security objectives, fostering a culture of security awareness and responsibility.

• Strong expertise in AWS security principles and architecture, with hands-on experience in container security, including vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
• Familiarity with GRC tools and processes related to cloud environments, as well as experience with cloud container platforms such as ECS, EKS, and Docker.
• Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISA, or CISSP are highly valued, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
