Technology Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced repair professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the AV industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality repair services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintenance of audio visual equipment, including event furniture;
  • Design and implementation of efficient storage systems for technology and venue operations resources;
  • Development and implementation of effective use of equipment resources and transportation mechanisms;
  • Maintenance of compliance standards and detailed records for electrical and rigging equipment;
  • Supervision of installation projects and contractors;
  • Point of contact for receipt and dispatch of centre equipment and sub-hired resources;
  • Maintenance of departmental consumable stocks and stores;
  • Conducting and supervising stocktakes and maintaining accurate numerical relationships between available equipment resources and hire inventories;
  • Identification and facilitation of efficiency gains in equipment flows between venues and events.
Requirements
  • Available to work between normal business hours with occasional weekend work dependent on the corporation's business level;
  • Previous experience in a repair/installation/project capacity from within the corporate AV sector is essential;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical/electronic systems coupled with a skill base in one or more genres of the entertainment industry;
  • Broad spectrum knowledge of corporate AV and/or entertainment systems;
  • High-level problem-solving capability;
  • Ability to mentor and/or train departmental staff;
  • Well-developed deduction and decision-making abilities;
  • Ability to operate in both a supervisory and supervised role;
  • Self-motivated with a positive demeanor;
  • Proactive and solutions-focused;
  • Flexible, punctual, and reliable;
  • Proven experience in an equipment service industry either in entertainment or an allied industry;
  • Trade-level electrical/electronic or demonstrated period of comparable industry experience.
