About This Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from the corresponding consignment information.

Key aspects of this role include communication with yard locomotives, juice laboratory teams, general cleaning, work in confined spaces, and maintaining records.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Accuracy: Enter cane consignment data and maintain records of scheduled weighbridge test weights while upholding confidentiality of all cane-related information.
  • Maintenance: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices of fixed plant around the weighbridge and assist in scheduling cleaning of the weighbridge.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Cane Supply & Transport and Laboratory teams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Provide regular and accurate feedback to management on station performance and quality issues.
  • Competency Development: Willing and able to achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including familiarity communicating via radio. Basic mechanical skills are highly regarded.

You will also require relevant qualifications, such as Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates, and be willing to undergo training for maintenance period roles.
