As a Trade Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the construction of High Voltage (HV) Substations across various project sites in NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work on greenfield and brownfield transmission sub-stations projects, assisting with primary HV works and secondary systems installation.

About the Role

You will work in small teams, collaborating with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality results. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with HV/LV cable installations, including cable trays and terminations
  • Hands-on experience with primary HV & secondary systems installation, including switchgear, isolators, transformers, and control panels
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Willingness to assist with general site housekeeping as required
  • Competency in operating, maintaining, and working safely with hand tools, small plant, and mobile equipment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to lift 20 kg and work at heights
  • Valid driver's license
  • LVR/CPR competency (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications
  • High Risk Work Licence - EWP and/or Forklift

Desirable skills and qualifications include Construction White Card, trade certification, and experience in electrical or mechanical trades.
